Maria Josephine Batoon, Financial Controller

As Financial Controller in Australia, Maria looks after financial reporting and taxation requirements of our group’s Australian entities and coordinates global financial reporting. Among her many contributions to the group over the years, she provides technical expertise around Australian financial reporting standards as they relate to reporting Pacific Current investments – from acquisition to disposition.

Before joining our team in Australia, Maria was most recently a senior accountant at Stockland Corporation Limited. She also worked as a senior accountant at JP Morgan Investor Services and as an accountant at Principal Global Investors. She is both a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Internal Auditor.

A native of the Philippines, Maria earned her BS in Accountancy from the University of the East in Manila. She’s an avid reader and says that the home she shares with her family is her happy place.
