Michael Fitzpatrick, Chairman
Mike has nearly four decades of experience in the financial services sector. After a career in investment banking in Australia and the United States, he founded Hastings Funds Management Ltd (‘Hastings’), one of the largest and most pioneering managers of infrastructure and alternative assets in Australia. He served there as managing director until he sold his interest to Westpac Banking Corporation.
In addition to serving as our Chairman, Mike is a non-executive director of Infrastructure Capital Group, a boutique manager of $1.4 billion of energy and infrastructure assets. He also holds several other non-executive directorships for organizations including the Walter & Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research, Latam Autos Limited, and Carnegie Wave Energy Limited. He also served for roughly a decade as the Chairman of the Australian Football League, before stepping down in early 2017.
Mike holds a B.Eng. (Honours) degree in electrical engineering from the University of Western Australia and a B.A. (Honours) from the University of Oxford, where he was a Rhodes Scholar.
